I think often environments and backgrounds can add a lot to a piece to make it seem more real, more physical, more intimate, but it's easy to forego that in favour of
|
|
making something quickly. The perverse incentives that we as artists have to remain relevant in a sea of competing 'content' often lead to an emphasis on speed and
|
|
efficency over mood, tone and artistic meaning.<br><br>
|
|
I'll likely be doing a few commissions over the next while, so check out my <a href="../commission.html">Commission</a> page for updated prices.<br>

I may write a little piece about the above on my blog, too.<br>
