Sven Dowideit c1f75e87da DOCKER_VERSION and docker-version havn't been implemented.

So far, it looks like the declarations are not used, and so its safer not to
confuse people into thinking they do something.

The `contrib` directory contains scripts, images, and other helpful things
which are not part of the core docker distribution. Please note that they
could be out of date, since they do not receive the same attention as the
rest of the repository.
