What a person cannot do today

See that a payment was refunded or disputed, or issue a refund from the console. Refunds and disputes happen at the payment provider and never reach the console's mirror, so a payment the console shows as paid may already be reversed.

What they should be able to do

See refunds and disputes on the payment and the invoice they belong to, issue a refund from the console with a reason, and respond to a dispute with the evidence the provider asks for.

Why it matters

Money the console believes it has is the number every other figure rests on, and a reversed payment that stays invisible makes the billing pages wrong.

Where

The billing model (refund and dispute mappings), the webhook processors for the provider's refund and dispute events, the operator payments and invoice pages.

Done when

Refund and dispute events are projected, shown on the payment and invoice pages, and a refund can be started from the console.
