What happens

After a member's plan change (a switch to another tier, Keep plan, or Cancel plan) has been made at Stripe and recorded by the console, the console reconciles the subscription. When that reconcile fails at once, for example on a database error or because Stripe refuses to read the subscription, the member reads "We couldn't complete that change. Try again in a moment.", although the change was made.

What should happen

Once the change is made and recorded, a failure of the reconcile after it is logged, and the member reads the change's own answer. Stripe's event for the change brings the subscription's record up to date.

A member who follows the advice repeats a change that has already taken effect.
