The question

When the entitlement that covers a member's wiki sites lapses, the console now keeps the sites listed and shows a warning above them, and a transient lookup failure shows a try-again notice instead, so the two cases no longer look alike. What follows the warning is undefined: nothing states whether the sites keep serving, for how long, what the member can do to restore them, or what becomes of them if nothing is done.

What depends on the answer

The member's site list and site pages, what the operator sees about a lapsed organization, and whether the lapse is a state the provisioning side has to carry (suspended, then ended) or only a notice on a surface.

Options known so far

A wind-down period with a stated end: sites keep serving, read-only, until the date the member is shown.
Immediate suspension with a restore path: the sites stop serving and come back when the entitlement does.
Nothing structural: the warning stays a notice, and the operator decides case by case.

Decided when

The entitlements model states what a lapse does to the resources already delivered and over what period, and the member surfaces say the same thing the model does.
