# Node-RED
Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services in new and interesting ways.
We developed this recipe as a potential alternative to N8N for some of our automation needs, but we found it not to meet our needs, so it is not currently in use.
Node-RED was not built for multi-user environments, so this software is intended for single-user use only.
We've opted for using Temporal for our workflow automation needs instead.
For now, this is just a reference deployment for anyone who might want to use it.
