I believe the s3 stuff was untested because it didn't work without these changes. That's cool, it works with my testing now

Yes, S3 had not been tested as I didn't easily have access to an S3 compatible server when I started testing.
Thanks for looking into this, commit all looks good to me if you want to merge.
