Go maintainers started to unconditionally update the minimum go version for golang.org/x/ dependencies to go1.23, which means that we'll no longer be able to support any version below that when updating those dependencies; > all: upgrade go directive to at least 1.23.0 [generated] > > By now Go 1.24.0 has been released, and Go 1.22 is no longer supported > per the Go Release Policy (https://go.dev/doc/devel/release#policy). > > For golang/go#69095. Development
docker/cli is developed using Docker.
Build CLI from source:
docker buildx bake
Build binaries for all supported platforms:
docker buildx bake cross
Build for a specific platform:
docker buildx bake --set binary.platform=linux/arm64
Build dynamic binary for glibc or musl:
USE_GLIBC=1 docker buildx bake dynbinary
Run all linting:
docker buildx bake lint shellcheck
Run test:
docker buildx bake test
List all the available targets:
make help
In-container development environment
Start an interactive development environment:
make -f docker.Makefile shell
