Thank you for this hint. I simply renamed the docker volume. This way a complete new volume is created. No extra steps or commands needed:

@moritz nice that seems like the elegant solution I could not think of

and then also if the user did have some custom assets saved on the old volume (which was unclear to me if it happened or not) they could manually refind them and copy them over
